Conservative candidate for Clacton, Giles Watling, has pointed out an issue with a proposed Hustings for the Clacton constituency.
Mr Watling has posted:
I am now told that the 1st of July, the date proposed for these hustings, is actually the same day Nigel is running a ticketed rally in the constituency. Why do a community hustings to engage with people when you can rant at the converted instead......
This follows a statement by Mr Watling on June 25th stating that he had been contacted to inform him that the scheduled hustings could no longer go ahead, "on account of Mr Farage's team failing to respond to repeated requests to take part".
