Patrick Spencer, the Conservative MP for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich, has been charged with two counts of sexual assault, related to alleged incidents involving two separate women at the Groucho Club in London in August 2023
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) authorised the charges after a Metropolitan Police investigation. Mr Spencer is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 16, 2025.
Mr Spencer, 37, categorically denies the allegations.
The Conservative Party have suspended him, withdrew the whip immediately, and he was asked not to attend Parliament during the investigation.
