Vicky Edwards elected in Abbots Langley & Bedmond (Three Rivers) Council By-Election

Vicky Edwards has been elected and is the first Conservative councillor for Abbots Langley & Bedmond in 30 years.

Ms Edwards was elected on a 22% swing from the Liberal Democrats.

As a result of Ms Edwards being elected the Liberal Democrats have lost their majority on Three Rivers council.

Leader of the Conservatives on Three Rivers District Council, Oliver Cooper, said: "I am so proud of my Three Rivers Conservatives team!"

Ms Edwards (Conservatives) received 593 votes

Alex Turner (Liberal Democrats) received 500 votes

Jane Powell (Green Party) received 233 votes

Pierce Culliton (Labour Party) received 137 votes

Electorate: 4979

Turnout: 29.5%
