Christine Hamilton, wife of former MP Neil Hamilton, has taken to X to highlight the fact that MPs can claim for their heating costs and urging MPs to "put your job on the line".
Ms Hamilton posted:
MPs on £91k pa get their heating paid for by us, the taxpayer. Pensioners on £13k pa have their #WinterFuelAllowance snatched away. Any MP who doesn’t vote against this measure is a coward and hypocrite. Abstaining will not do. Put your job on the line.
