Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch posted to X this morning calling for a full statutory national inquiry into the rape gang scandal.
Rupert Lowe replied to the post asking Kemi Badenoch to work with his new Rape Gang Inquiry.
Ms Badenoch posted:
Labour govt asking local councils to carry out rape gang inquiries is truly absurd, when the councils themselves may have something to hide.
If Bradford council threatened investigators over grooming gangs, how can we trust them?
Only a full statutory national inquiry will do.
Rupert Lowe replied to the post:
Kemi - please consider working with our inquiry.
This will not be resolved in Parliament. We all know that.
Our inquiry will pile the pressure on, uncover the truth and force Labour to act.
