Inquiry Announcement:

Inquiry Announcement - Sammy Woodhouse will be supporting the Rape Gang Inquiry as our Victim Engagement Officer, and a member of our expert panel.

@officialsammyuk is a survivor of the Rotherham child abuse scandal. Her story, published in The Times in 2013, led to the Alexis Jay report, which revealed 1,400 victims.

She also initiated the largest criminal investigation in British history into child sexual abuse.

Over the past 12 years, Sammy has exposed failures within government agencies and charities, secured millions in funding for support services, and influenced policy and legal reforms.

She has also worked to raise awareness of child criminal and sexual exploitation, as well as the rights of children born from rape, on a worldwide scale.

Additionally, she has trained professionals who work with vulnerable children and adults.

An important voice who will add huge value to the inquiry's work.

Rupert Lowe posted a comment, saying: "Really pleased to have Sammy on the team, and this will be a proper team effort. Progress made, lots of work to do."
