The Co-operative Group, a major UK supermarket chain, has decided to stop selling products from Israel, along with 16 other countries, due to what it describes as "internationally recognised community-wide human rights abuses and violations of international law."
This decision follows a non-binding motion passed at the Co-op’s Annual General Meeting on May 17th, 2025, where 73% of members voted to boycott Israeli goods, citing the ongoing conflict in Gaza and urging the board to show "moral courage and leadership."
