Deputy Prime Minister, Angela Rayner, has spoken to ITV News following some criticism of her partying in Ibiza.
Ms Rayner has said that she "won't apologise for occasionally taking a day off".
Well, I say that people on holiday are on holiday, I had a couple of days, but I also say, you know, I take my job incredibly seriously, and I carry that job out. I deliver on what I say I'm gonna do.
In fact I'm always concerned to make sure that I prove my worth because people often criticise my background and say, well, is she qualified to do the job?
Well, I know that the people of this country deserve better, and I'll fight for them every single day. But I also know that people deserve to have downtime as well, and I won't apologise for occasionally, I mean, I can apologise for my dance moves, they're not to everyone's taste, but I do take the occasional day off.
