Broxtowe Borough Councillor Katherine Harlow has posted to X her reasons for leaving the Labour Party.
Ms Harlow was one of Twenty Councillors who resigned en masse in protest at the party's direction under Sir Keir Starmer.
Ms Harlow posted: "Today, I officially left @UKLabour to stand alongside 19 other of my fellow @broxtowelabour councillors who were treated appallingly by the Party when they dared to stand up for what was right".
Ms Harlow also posted the following:
I'm leaving to stand alongside my fellow councillors and friends who have been treated with nothing but disrespect by the party, after we put in so much hard work for them in order to have the ground to win these seats, for them to just cast those councillors aside, deciding they weren't good enough.
