Labour MP for Norwich South Clive Lewis has retaken the oath following complaints concerning his first attempt.
Clive Lewis later defended his protest saying "it was no big deal what I said".
On Tuesday 16th July Mr Lewis appeared back in the House of Commons to swear in again.
Mr Lewis again made a statement prior to swearing in:
I was elected to parliament to represent my constituents and our country to the best of my ability to do defend democracy and uphold human rights. And one day, I hope all members of parliament will be entitled to swear an oath of allegiance based on those values.
Mr Lewis continued:
I do solemnly and sincerely and truly declare and affirm that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty King Charles, his heirs and successors according to law.
