Gareth Snell MP voted to axe the Winter Fuel Allowance for all but the poorest of pensioners

Gareth Snell MP, Labour & Co-op MP for Stoke-on-Trent Central, posted to Twitter in 2017 that if re-elected he would "vote against the cutting of the winter fuel allowance".

What a difference a few years make!

On 10th September Mr Snell voted to axe the Winter Fuel Allowance for all but the poorest of pensioners.

His previous post said:

If re-elected I promise to vote against the dementia tax, the cutting of the winter fuel allowance and commit to protect the pensions triple lock.
