Sir Keir Starmer has abandoned Britain's challenge at the International Criminal Court to the arrest warrant proceedings against the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
A senior Israeli official denounced the "fundamentally wrong decision" after it was confirmed on Friday morning that the UK would not pursue its longstanding case at the Hague.
Whilst this move may anger the Israeli's pro-Palestinian groups such as the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians welcomed the news.
This decision follows the pledge by David Lammy to recommence funding to UNRWA with a donation of £21 million.
