Reports are circulating that Joe Baker, Councillor for Batchley & Brockhill Ward, has been suspended by the Labour Party.
Joe Baker was the Labour Councillor in charge of Redditch Borough Council. It is understood that he has been suspended and has stood down as leader.
The Redditch Borough Council website has already been updated and shows Joe Baker as an Independent.
The Redditch Advertiser reports that Mr Baker has said: "It's a personal issue and I'm not going to make any comment". The article also states that the Labour Party are in "No comment" mode.
