Kim Johnson, Labour MP for Liverpool Riverside, is not happy with the welfare bill 'concessions' offered by Keir Starmer to Labour rebels, and will not be supporting the government.
Kim Johnson has posted to X this morning:
The welfare bill next week is not a plan for jobs, it’s a recipe for destitution.
Yesterday’s last minute ‘concessions’ create a two-tier welfare system. Disability benefits will still be cut, new claimants will be hit hard.
I cannot and will not support them.
