Robert Jenrick on new guidance for prison sentences for ‘ethnic minorities’ and ‘faith minority communities’ - "It will create a two tier justice system"

March 5th, 2025

Conservative MP Robert Jenrick has posted to X saying that new guidance means that prison sentences will be less likely for ‘ethnic minorities’ and ‘faith minority communities’ - creating a two tier justice system.

Mr Jenrick posted:

Under new guidance prison sentences will be less likely for ‘ethnic minorities’ and ‘faith minority communities’.

This would create a two tier justice system.

We believe in equality under the law.

Why doesn’t Labour?

The Conservative X account also posted:

You read that right.

New government guidance states that criminals will be more likely to avoid jail time if they're from an "ethnic minority, cultural minority...or faith minority community."

Brazen two-tier justice from Labour.
