Pressure is mounting on Keir Starmer regarding his plans to repeal the Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Act 2023, which could see some of our veterans in court - some who will be in their 70's and 80's.
Rt Hon Johnny Mercer posted to X earlier today:
This is shocking.
Starmer this morning on a phone-in admitting he’s happy to see veterans in their 70’s and 80’s go to court for their service in Northern Ireland to appease Sinn Fein.
You can wheel out as many vets as you like. If your values are this skewed, you need help.

Update 30th October 2024: Mark Francois has also questioned Keir Starmer on the NI Legacy Act: "Why, sir, are you throwing those veterans to the wolves to pander to Sinn Féin?"
