Labour MP for Birmingham Hall Green and Moseley, Tahir Ali, is under investigation by the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA).
The probe relates to his spending on office costs, travel, and accommodation, with IPSA examining whether he breached rules under their Scheme of MPs’ Staffing and Business Costs.
Tahir Ali has claimed over £59,000 in expenses for the 2023-24 financial year and has stated he is confident in his compliance with IPSA rules and will fully cooperate with the investigation.

Tahir Ali was recently in the news after signing a joint letter to the Government of Pakistan urging them to build a new airport in Mirpur, Pakistan. This is to make it easier for his constituents to travel home to Pakistan.
