Channel 4 undercover reporter exposes racism in Farage's Clacton Reform team

June 28th, 2024

An undercover Channel 4 reporter has captured a Reform Party activist using racial slurs and calling Islam a "disgusting cult".

In one segment of the video Reform Party activist, Andrew Parker, is seen discussing migrants arriving in small boats in Deal, Kent. He said the solution is: "Army recruitment - get the young recruits there, with guns, on the f****** beach, target practice. F****** just shoot them."

In another segment Andrew Parker comments on the Prime Minister:  "I’ve always been a Tory voter. But what annoys me is that f****** p*** we’ve got in. What good is he? You tell me, you know. He’s just wet. F****** useless."

Another activist,  George Jones, commented on a Pride flag decorating a police car, saying it was "degenerate".

Statement by Andrew Parker, Reform UK activist

I'd like to make it clear that neither Nigel Farage personally or the Reform Party are aware of my personal views on immigration...

I would like therefore to apologise to them if my personal views have reflected badly on them and brought them into disrepute.

Statement by Peter Harris, Campaign Manager for Nigel Farage, Reform UK

Any individuals who have been identified as making unacceptable comments and holding those views are not welcome in our campaign. We are running a campaign to represent all voters in Clacton.

Nigel Farage is reported to have commented:

"The appalling sentiments expressed by some in these exchanges bear no relation to my own views, those of the vast majority of our supporters or Reform UK policy. Some of the language used was reprehensible.

"Reform UK is a party for everybody who believes in Britain. I am proud that our supporters, candidates and national campaign team come from all backgrounds and identities."
