The Reform UK Leader of Warwickshire County Council, Councillor Rob Howard has resigned citing health challenges.
He had been in the role for just 40 days after being elected in May 2025. His deputy, 18-year-old Councillor George Finch, has taken over as interim leader until a new leader is confirmed.
Councillor Rob Howard is quoted as saying: "The role of leader is an extremely demanding role and regretfully my health challenges now prevent me from carrying out the role to the level and standard that I would wish."
