The Conservatives have gained the Blockley ward on Cotswold District Council after Tom Bradley won the by-election with 431 votes.
Liberal Democrat candidate Danny Loveridge came second with 230 votes. Reform UK’s Matt Fincham received 59 votes, while Green Party candidate Bob Eastoe received 54. Labour’s Josh Littler-Jennings received 14.

- Danny Loveridge — Liberal Democrats: 230 (29.2%)
- Matt Fincham — Reform UK: 59 (7.5%)

- Josh Littler-Jennings — Labour: 14 (1.8%)
These percentages are calculated from the 788 candidate votes shown on Cotswold District Council’s official declaration and rounded to one decimal place. Bradley finished 201 votes ahead of Loveridge.
Conservative gain after Green councillor's resignation
The vote took place on Thursday 24 September 2026 following the resignation of Green councillor Clare Turner, who had represented Blockley for more than three years. Cotswold District Council said she stepped down because of new work commitments.
The council’s declaration names Thomas Bradley as the elected councillor. The seat therefore changes from Green to Conservative representation.
