The BBC are reporting that they have been told by a Conservative Party spokesman that the Gambling Commission are looking into a "small number of individuals" regarding bets made regarding the date of the general election.
Chris Mason has revealed that Laura Saunders, who is married to Tony Lee (Conservative Party’s Director of Campaigns), is one of the individuals who may have questions to answer.
Laura Saunders is the Conservative party’s candidate in Bristol North West.
Chris Mason states that it is not known when the bet was placed or for how much money.
We believe Ms Saunders has been approached for comment.
This follows news that Powys MP, Craig Williams, had placed a small bet with Ladbrokes concerning the general election date.
